At AXEON, we believe firmly in purchasing "custom" PCs -that is why we sell them and avoid anything pre-built by any of the national competitors. We choose from the best components available and construct the PC's (Desktops only) and load an OS (Windows Operating System) right in our office. The result is a PC that we believe is superior to anything with seemingly similar specs. There are many options for computer purchases these days. Many larger "box stores" offer them in various brands and price ranges. The "specs" one often hears are commonly CPU/Processor type, Hard Drive size and RAM Memory size and type. Beyond that, the Operating System is cited and that's about it. While all of those factors are important, they are not the whole story. From experience we can tell you that you can take a brand new PC with great specs, put it through it's paces and find it's not much faster than a 3 or 4 year-old custom-built machine in many respects. There are numerous factors that contribute to a computer's speed and ultimately, the users enjoyment of that PC. Custom means for pricing exactly what you'd think -these PCs are more expensive than many other options out there. The trade-off is knowing you've purchased a better-built PC from a local company with local support (all of our PCs come with a 1 year parts & labor warranty). We currently purchase parts for PCs that allow us to price our standard custom PCs at $899 plus tax. What those specs are changes with the price of technology but we are constantly improving our PCs based on what's available in that price range. We build them more robust (more expensive) as well as more simple (less expensive) but the AXB2 & AXR2 models (both $899) are what we sell 90% of the time.
